1. Information We Collect

When you use Applyrift, we collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, and authentication data provided via Google, GitHub, or directly.
  • Resume Data: The CVs/resumes you upload, including the original PDF files and the extracted text.
  • Job Application Details: Information about the jobs you apply for, including URLs, job descriptions, companies, and roles.
  • Payment Information: Processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card details.

2. How We Process Your Data

Our core service involves analyzing your resumes and job descriptions using Artificial Intelligence.

  • We use third-party AI models (specifically Anthropic Claude) to analyze your CV, provide "roast" scores, generate tailored resumes, and provide feedback.
  • We send the contents of your uploaded CVs and written job descriptions to these AI providers exclusively for the purpose of generating your requested features.
  • We do not permit these third-party AI providers to use your personal data to train their fundamental models.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data, including uploaded PDFs and extracted text, is stored securely using Supabase. We implement row-level security so that your private CVs and job applications are only accessible to you. Waitlisted or public features, such as the shareable "roast card", are only accessible via secure, randomly generated links that you explicitly choose to share.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, to protect your data, and to ensure our platform functions correctly. We may use highly aggregated, anonymized metrics to understand feature usage and improve the product.

5. Data Deletion

You may delete any individual CV or job application at any time directly through the dashboard. If you wish to delete your entire account and all associated data, you can do so in your account settings or by contacting our support email (if provided) and your data will be permanently removed.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of this policy and, in some cases, we may provide you with more prominent notice (such as adding a statement to our homepage or sending you a notification).
